School Board resolves budget impasse, commits to further discussion

(04/24/2024) An impasse regarding approval of the 2024-25 district budget was resolved by the Anoka-Hennepin School Board during a work session held Tuesday, April 23 at the Educational Services Center in Anoka.

Seven teams qualify for Destination Imagination Global Finals

(04/12/2024) Eight teams representing Anoka-Hennepin Schools competed at the Destination Imagination state competition at Coon Rapids Middle School April 7. Seven teams advanced to the Global Finals which will be held May 22-25 in Kansas City, Mo.

District recognized by the City of Coon Rapids for its sustainability efforts

(04/12/2024) The City of Coon Rapids recognized the Anoka-Hennepin School District with an Earth Month Sustainability Award at its regular City Council meeting on April 2. Greg Cole, district Chief Operations Officer, accepted the award on behalf of Anoka-Hennepin.

District recognized for excellence in music education for the 10th time

(04/05/2024) The Anoka-Hennepin School District has been recognized with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for the 10th time. The honor recognizes a district’s outstanding commitment to music education.

Parent Engage 360 - Chemical health: Tobacco and vaping prevention

Anoka-Hennepin Schools hosted parents/guardians and community members in-person and online April 1 for the final Parent Engage 360 event of the school year. Gabby Fitzgerald, Director of Education with myHealth was the keynote speaker providing information and resources on tobacco and vaping prevention.

District American Indian Education program to host powwow on April 13
