University Avenue named Magnet Schools of America School of Distinction
(01/23/2025) University Avenue Elementary School - Aerospace, Children’s Engineering and Science has been named a 2025 Magnet Schools of America (MSA) School of Distinction. MSA national merit awards are given to magnet schools that demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, successful desegregation and diversity efforts, and strong parent and community involvement.

It's more than just free meals! Apply for educational benefits for the 2024-25 school year
(07/26/2024) All Anoka-Hennepin families are encouraged to apply for the educational benefits program for the 2024-25 school year. A new application must be submitted each school year. The enrollment window for the 2024-25 school year begins Aug. 1, 2024.

Bid now: Student-built house is up for auction
(05/15/2025) Students from Anoka-Hennepin’s Secondary Technical Education Program (STEP) have spent the 2023-25 school years constructing a three-bedroom home that is now up for auction. This project at STEP has been conducted in Anoka-Hennepin Schools for more than 25 years.

School letters presented to four Anoka-Hennepin figure skaters
(05/12/25) Anoka High School senior Maisie Stover, Andover High School senior Ashlee More and juniors Lauren Rockers and Sadie Langsdorf were presented school letters during a special on-ice ceremony held during the Coon Rapids Ice Show on April 26 at the Coon Rapids Ice Center.

Anoka-Hennepin high school graduation rates continue to outperform state average for the 2024 school year
(05/07/2025) Anoka-Hennepin students continue to perform above the record-high state graduation average overall and in all but two of the 15 measured student groups. Student demographics in the Anoka-Hennepin School District closely mirror averages across the state of Minnesota.
