Support at Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy - Title I information

  • The following information is a jointly developed agreement that explains how family members and teachers will work together to make sure all of our students get the support they need to reach and exceed grade level standards. The families and staff at CBPA annually discuss, review, and revise this information.  Your student’s needs, progress, and achievements will be shared at fall and winter conferences.

    Title I School Improvement Strategies

CBPA is committed to providing an atmosphere of learning for all students. This will be accomplished through:

    • Reading and Math: Tracking student growth data and coordination of focused interventions with additional support staff
    • Catalyst Approach: Accelerating positive school cultures through training and coaching to support student engagement
    • Social Emotional Learning: Implementation of Character Strong curriculum
    • Progress on these school efforts will be reported to  families at PTO/PAC meetings three times a year.

School supports for success (in the classroom)

Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy maintains high academic and behavioral expectations for all students, while also providing targeted academic supports and enrichment opportunities to meet individual needs. Students benefit from both onsite and offsite learning opportunities in the Specialty program, expanding access to diverse educational experiences.

Staff use Catalyst and equitable classroom management strategies to create calm, productive learning environments that maximize instructional time, foster student engagement, and support positive relationships; and closely monitors student progress and regularly communicates with families to celebrate successes and address concerns in a timely, collaborative manner.

Our educators engage in ongoing professional learning to implement best practices and stay current with research-based strategies.
