Anoka-Hennepin Community Education has partnered with Safeway Driving School to provide an additional opportunity for high school students to complete their classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction outside of the traditional school day. Driver education classes are open to teens ages 15 and up.

    • Classroom sessions prepare students for the Minnesota driver's permit test and becoming a responsible driver.
    • Behind-the-wheel includes six hours of driving in three, two-hour sessions on actual city streets, highways and freeways.
    • Instructors are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and complete a background check each year. Instructors have experience teaching teens and receive extensive training.

Register online: Upcoming driver education sessions begin Jul. 12, 26 and Aug. 9.
