Volunteer
Volunteer Services is coordinated by Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement, a Community Education program. Anoka-Hennepin Schools are grateful that each year, over 10,000 dedicated volunteers contribute thousands of hours of their time, energy and talents to support our schools, students and staff.
We encourage you to complete the volunteer application at the school of your choice and a background check form for this year to stay updated on opportunities to be involved in your school.

Opportunities to support the school district
-
Community members and organizations wishing to help
Thank you for your support of Anoka-Hennepin students, we appreciate your generosity. During this unprecedented time, we're leaning on our community for support - we're stronger together! Below are a few additional ways to support our Anoka-Hennepin students, staff and schools.
-
Provide donations
Schools may be accepting donations specific to community needs. For individuals and organizations looking for ways to help, contact our individual schools.
-
Donate box tops
Proceeds from Box Tops go to help fund many different things for our students. No more clipping, just scan your receipt. Box Tops is changing to fit today's families. The new and improved Box Tops mobile app uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school's earnings online. To download the app, visit Box Tops online.
Printed Box Tops will be phased out. You can continue to clip these from brands such as Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Ziploc, Kleenex, etc. and send them in with your students. They help us earn cash for our school and are worth ten cents each. Once printed box tops are completely phased out, the only way to earn money through this program is through the mobile app.

Skillbuilders
The benefit is that the trained volunteers will be able to respond to individual student needs as requested by the classroom teacher. Skillbuilders also provide opportunities for families to work with children on structured activities outside of school. Learn how to get involved and view practice materials on the Skillbuilders webpage.
-
Math Plus
The purpose of the Math PLUS is to provide additional, on-going mathematical experiences for students in grade K-5. Students participate in math activities that reinforce problem solving, logic and reasoning, and communicating mathematical findings.
-
Challenge Reading
Volunteers provide children with additional opportunities to foster a love of reading outside of the classroom by introducing various genres of literature, extending students' writing connections, and promoting higher level thinking skills.
