Bringing the community together for health and wellnessCommunity Wellness Day is an excellent example of community education partnerships in action! Sponsors and community education staff work to bring community resources together, by offering educational activities, demonstrations, keynote presentations, health screenings and community resources. Workshops focus on cooking, exercise, nutrition, fitness, stress management, and family activities – to name a few. With the belief that wellness is more than the absence of illness, Community Wellness Day strives to provide an environment that supports the nutritional and physical well‐being of those who live, work, and play in the community.
