Early learning and preschool jobsAnoka-Hennepin Community Education coordinates Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and preschool programs for the school district. Staff in our ECFE programs work with babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their families to support each child's growth and development from birth to kindergarten. Preschool staff work with children by making the introduction to school a positive one, while preparing students for school and kindergarten. Both programs run 31-36 weeks per year, including summer classes with classes located throughout the school district.ECFE and preschool program jobs are most commonly open in the summer months as we prepare to welcome students back for the new school year, but openings are occasionally open throughout the year. We are always looking for professionals, parents or community members with a background in working with young children, looking for a career change or seeking the perfect fit in a job that gives them the opportunity to make an impact in preparing children for the future.Current open positionsPreschool Assistants & ECFE Assistants: Assist in daily and weekly planning and set-up of materials and activities for children ages 3-5 in School Readiness, birth to five in ECFE. Assist in conducting group and individual activities for children ages 3-5 in School Readiness, children birth to five and their parents in ECFE. Assist in teaching academic and social skills through planned learning activities in the classroom. Participate in staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to managing resource center materials, and assisting with events for parents and children. ECFE Assistant Instructors work at least on evening per week. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma. Rate of pay: $14.00/hour & up DOQ. 31-36 weeks per year, up to 16 hours per week.
