Welcome to my classroom website

My name is Paulina Kohan, and I’m teaching German I and II at Andover High School this year.

I have worked as a teacher for 8 years. I began teaching German at the University of Alabama.  Then, I’ve taught English as a Second Language for about 6 years, including a year in Europe. I also taught Academic Writing, Speaking and Listening and English Grammar at Saint Cloud University in the Department of English for Academic Purposes.

I have a Master’s of Law from the University of Wroclaw in Poland, a Master’s in German from the University of Alabama and I will be finishing the Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language from Saint Cloud State University this October.  During my Law Studies I spent almost 2 years in Salzburg, Austria, finishing my law courses and taking courses in German, English and Spanish. My time abroad had a profound impact on my life and molded me into who I am today. Because of that, I am a huge supporter of speaking multiple languages and study abroad programs. 

I love learning languages. I speak English, Polish, German and Spanish, and I would like to learn Portuguese and Arabic one day. I hope to spark the same passion for learning that I have in my students.
