Andover ends historic season in state tournament semifinal showdown
(11/22/2023) The Andover High School football team saw its historic season come to an end in the state semifinals. The Huskies and Chanhassen High School combined for 100 points in a back-and-forth affair at U.S. Bank Stadium on Nov. 18 that would need overtime to decide a winner.

Andover High School football heads to state semifinals
(11/15/2023) The Andover High School football team (10-1) advanced to the semifinals of the MSHSL Class AAAAA State Football Tournament. The Huskies will square off against Chanhassen High School on Saturday, Nov. 18. Opening kick-off for the state semifinal game is set for 7 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Two students represent district at state math competition
(03/21/2024) John Downs, a junior at Andover High School, and Taison Scofield, a freshman at Blaine High School, represented Anoka-Hennepin at this year’s Minnesota State High School Mathematics League tournament held March 11 at Spring Lake Park High School.

Two district educators named semifinalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year
(03/20/2024) Of the seven Anoka-Hennepin educators named candidates for the 2024 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award, two have been selected as semifinalists. Deena Bayer, social studies teacher at Blaine High School, and Tom Powers, first grade teacher at Rum River Elementary School, are among 27 semifinalists for the award statewide.
