Welcome to Mr. Nesvold's Classroom Website!
I am starting my 5th year as a special education teacher here at Andover High School. I began working in the Anoka-Hennepin District as a special education para. As of January 2014, I moved into the role of a special education teacher at Coon Rapids High School.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I taught 4th grade for one year in a small town in Wisconsin before realizing my true passion was working with students with special needs. I'm currently finishing up my Master's Degree through Bethel University and have a license to teach students with mild-moderate disabilities in ASD, SLD, OHD, DCD, and EBD. Last summer (2017), I finished my DCD (moderate-severe) license through Bethel, and I have moved into the role as a DCD teacher here at Andover.
I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, but I have always been in love with Minnesota. In my spare time, I sing and play guitar in a band, I enjoy watching movies, spending time with friends and family, going to concerts and hanging out with my wife and two dogs!
