Riverview Early Childhood Center

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood off the Mississippi River is Riverview Early Childhood Center. This location has three spacious classrooms, a gym, an outdoor playground and its own greenhouse and gardens where children are able to plant, weed, water and harvest fruits and vegetables. 

Located in the northeast corner of Brooklyn Park, access is easy - just off West River Road - yet Riverview feels far away from any metro congestion.

Inviting atmosphere

As they enter Riverview, visitors immediately feel the inviting atmosphere. 

As with all of our ECFE locations, Riverview’s classrooms are staffed by licensed parent educators and early childhood teachers. They are dedicated to providing positive support for families and use intentional teaching strategies to meet children’s individual needs. 

Glass greenhouse

One of the most unique features at Riverview is the greenhouse. In the 'ECFE Outdoors' class, fun activities happen under the glass, even in the winter months. Parents and children learn about the outdoors and nature, both in and out of the greenhouse, through artwork, sensory experiences, planting, watering, and weeding. 

A parent from the class recently shared “We love being outside in the garden and greenhouse. We don’t have this type of space at home.” 

From babies to preschoolers, there are plenty of opportunities for learning and exploring with friends at Riverview. "The unique programming and welcoming staff at Riverview make for an incredible ECFE experience," says Sarah Holmboe, supervisor at Riverview Early Childhood Center. "We are continually adding to and improving our outdoor classroom and can't wait for families to come experience ECFE Outdoors!"
