Parent teacher organizations and booster clubs help support the efforts of the Anoka-Hennepin students, schools and the community. The workshops listed below are offered to provide resources, tips, promote best practices and clarify procedures and processes. We are very thankful for the support and positive contributions parent/teacher groups and booster clubs provide.

Navigating Your Nonprofit

Parent Booster USA, (parentbooster.org). Jack Englund (Director of Client Development) and Drew Englund (Chief Operations Officer) from Parent Booster USA will take you through the ins and outs of being a 501c3 (PTOs, booster clubs and nonprofits) in Minnesota. They will reference what it means to be a nonprofit, bylaws, filing your taxes, state government requirements and much more. Parent Booster USA aims to break through the minutia and leave you with what's important without the legalese. Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement is thrilled to host this IN PERSON event. Bring your questions and talk to the experts during Q & A alloted. Their presentation will be offered twice.

Is This Considered Gambling? Navigating the Logistics of Charitable Gambling for Nonprofits                  

Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement is excited to host an IN PERSON event in partnership with the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. The MGCB will help your nonprofit, PTO or booster club decipher the logistics of charitable gambling. Is this activity gambling and allowed by law? Do we need a permit and if so, how do we get one, and how do we use it? Get the answers to these questions and more at this informative resource event.
