Anoka-Hennepin Community Education coordinates swimming lessons, recreational open swim, water exercise programs for adults, competitive swim training, American Red Cross CPR, AED and First Aid certification courses, and recreational open swim opportunities at Roosevelt Community Pool in Blaine. We are always looking for candidates to "dive" into a variety of positions supporting our pools and the water safety programs that we offer.

    Many positions require American Red Cross certifications in lifeguard training, water safety instruction, CPR or First Aid. Not certified but still interested? Anoka-Hennepin Community Education offers aquatic certification opportunities year-round, and may offer training assistance to candidates upon a job offer.     Lifeguard: High School Diploma or equivalent. Current American Red Cross Certificates in Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instruction, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and in First Aid.  Experience in the instruction of swimming at all levels of aquatic ability.  Ability to work with large groups of people.  Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.Part-time, casual hours - $10.65-11.65hour.     Water safety instructor: Responsible for teaching American Red Cross Learn to Swim Lessons. Evaluate participants experience level. Maintenance of participant records. Minimum requirements include high school diploma and current American Red Cross Certificates in Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instruction, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and in First Aid.
