• What are ECFE Home Visits?

    Home Visiting Family

Through the Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program, licensed early childhood teachers meet with families who have questions about their infant, toddler, or preschool-age child. Teachers offer support and resources on development concerns, sleep issues, separation, challenging behaviors, and more.

Families may also be connected to other resources such as:

    • early childhood screening,
    • community programs, and
    • preschool and ECFE class opportunities.

    How does Home Visiting work?

Home visitors are licensed teachers specializing in parenting and child development. Home visitors collaborate with families one-on-one to support and empower them in working through various parenting challenges by introducing strategies, tips, and resources. Staff members may also refer families to the program.

    Who is eligible?

Home Visiting services are for families with children ages birth to kindergarten. Families who live in the Anoka-Hennepin School district are eligible to participate.

How much does a Home Visit cost?

The service is offered through Anoka-Hennepin Schools Early Learning at no cost.
