Free Teen Water Safety Clinics to be held June 13 and 17 at Roosevelt Community Pool

Anoka-Hennepin Community Education will host its first Teen Water Safety Clinics Thurs., June 13 and Mon., June 17 from 7-8 p.m. at Roosevelt Community Pool (650-125th Ave.) in Blaine. Clinics are free of charge and will cover knowing your limits; safe water entry through diving/jumping into lakes, rivers and pools; boating practices; reaching and throwing extensions; and the dangers of cold water, currents and more.

 

Families are encouraged to register teens ages 13-18 to attend, online, although drop-in participants are welcome if space is available. If teens are comfortable getting in the water, please bring a swimsuit and a towel.

Teen Water Safety Clinics

 

Anoka-Hennepin Community Education offers swimming lessons at Roosevelt Community Pool in Blaine year-round for youth of all ages, at all skill levels.  The pool is indoors and lessons are offered rain or shine. Registrations are currently being accepted for summer swim lesson sessions, now. Call 763-506-5980 with questions or for more information.
