Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement offers strategic opportunities to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
Volunteers can support reading and literacy by providing children with additional opportunities to foster a love of reading outside of the classroom by introducing various genres of literature, extending students' writing connections, and promoting higher level thinking skills. Volunteers serving these specialized opportunities must attend a two-hour training session held at the Anoka-Hennepin Schools Educational Service Center (2727 N. Ferry St., Anoka).
Register to attend an upcoming Challenge Reading training session:
• Tues., Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m
• Tues., Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
View all training sessions scheduled for the 2019-20 school year.
Volunteers may contact the school district volunteer services office to be assigned to a school with specific needs, or they may volunteer at a school of their choice. Visit www.ahschools.us/volunteer to learn more and apply.
