(3/13/20)Anoka-Hennepin Schools and Anoka-Hennepin Community Education, the managing Metro North Adult Basic Education (ABE) consortium partner, are together closely monitoring the respiratory illness novel coronavirus or COVID-19 and have a coordinated management planning effort to guide action steps in this situation. The district and community education programs will continue to follow the expert guidance from the United States Centers for Disease Control, the Minnesota Department of Health, and county public health agencies.

A number of Metro North ABE programs operate at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College, both of which announced Friday, Mar. 13, that in-person classes will be suspended until Monday, Mar. 30, 2020.  

Metro North ABE programs impacted by this schedule change include students enrolled in the ACCUPLACER Boot Camp at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, English as a Second Language classes, ABE study labs and TEAS test prep classes at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College.

The goal of Minnesota State Colleges, which Metro North ABE at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College are a part of, is to accommodate students and help them continue their education despite interruptions caused by COVID-19. Students are encouraged to contact their teachers via email for online instruction and skills development during this time to continue learning.
