Online fitness instructor and participants share current experiences with new virtual classes
(5/14/20) North Metro TV visited with adult learning coordinator, Noella Fath-Cutter; yoga instructor, Melissa Temple; and participants to see a new virtual community education class in action. Anoka-Hennepin Community Education is currently offering a variety of online classes for adults, to provide opportunities to learn, connect with others and try something new while staying safe at home.
The class the cable television station was able to observe, "Gentle Yoga," is one of many that Anoka-Hennepin Community Education is now offering online. Online courses are affordable, fun, fast, convenient, and highly interactive. Visit the Anoka-Hennepin Community Education registration website to browse offerings and register online.
Fath-Cutter, Temple and participants all echoed that they have benefitted socially from the online class opportunities.
“They’ve not only missed out on their exercise and their fitness piece of it, but they’ve also missed out on being able to see the other people that they know from class,” said Fath-Cutter of the distance learning students.
"They get a chance to feel normal again!" Temple explained of the online options, available during challenging times when Minnesotans are urged to stay safe at home.
