Hello! Thank you for visiting my homepage. I am a speech-language pathologist who has worked in both medical and educational settings for over 10 years. I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication from Iowa State University and my Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and am license by both the MN Board of Teaching and the MN Department of Health. I am a past president of the Minnesota Speech-Language Hearing Association (MSHA) and a continuous advocate for students with communication disabilities. In addition to working directly with students to address language speech, fluency, and voice concerns at CPHS, I have the privilege of collaborating with both general and special education teachers to address the language underpinnings of academic achievement processes across content areas. I have previously collaborated with the MN Department of Education in the development of A Guide to Evaluation and Treatment Determination for Speech-Language Therapy in Minnesota and in the development and revision of Determining the Eligibility of Students with Specific Learning Disabilities : A Technical Manual. I am also working with the MN Department of Education to develop a variety of training resources to help teachers address academic language across content areas. Please feel free to take a look at the resource links below.
