• Hello!  Thank you for visiting my homepage.  I am a speech-language pathologist who has worked in both medical and educational settings for over 10 years.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication from Iowa State University and my Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and am licensed by both the MN Department of Education and the MN Department of Health.   I am a past president of the Minnesota Speech-Language Hearing Association (MSHA) and a continuous advocate for students with communication disabilities.  In addition to working directly with students to address language, speech, fluency, and voice concerns at CPHS, I have the privilege of collaborating with both general and special education teachers to address the language underpinnings of academic achievement processes across content areas.   I have previously collaborated with the MN Department of Education in the development of A Guide to Evaluation and Treatment Determination for Speech-Language Therapy in Minnesota and in the development and revision of Determining the Eligibility of  Students with Specific Learning Disabilities : A Technical Manual.  I am  also working with the MN Department of Education to develop a variety of training resources to help teachers address academic language across content areas.

Please note that due to the nature of speech-language services, students are seen individually, in small groups or within the classroom.  For this reason, my availability varies daily during student contact hours.  Should you need to reach me, email is the most efficient.
