A Little About Me
I took a slightly roundabout way of getting to teaching--I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in psychology then worked with adolescents in a treatment facility for a year. I needed a change after a year and got a job working as a paraprofessional at an elementary school and loved it--I knew that working with children in a school setting was my calling. I began a graduate certificate program at St. Cloud State University shortly thereafter and obtained my teaching license in special education with Specific Learning Disabilities as my licensure area. I was hired in the Osseo Area School district where I taught for three years, after which I came to the Anoka-Hennepin School district in Fall 2014. I completed my Master's degree in May 2017. I love working here at Champlin Park High School and being a part of the Rebel Family.
I am an avid biker--both road biking and mountain biking--and am a former assistant coach to a high school mountain bike team; I now am indirectly the supervisor of the Champlin Park High School Mountain Bike team. In my spare time, I love spending time with my son, my dogs, family and friends and reading.
Thank you for supporting your student's education! I am excited to work with your child and watch their growth. Together we can help your student achieve success in math. Please feel free to contact me with any question or concerns.
