HIGH SCHOOL: Grades 9th - 12th

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Grades 7th and 8th

Interested skier/parents: If you are interested in joining the Nordic ski team, please go through the "Interested Skier Questions and Answers" on the left-hand side. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Coach Charlie Rietschel. (Quick fact: The majority of athletes who join the Nordic team have never skied before)

All high school skiers must be registered with the activities office and cleared before anyone can practice.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Monday, November 11th: FIRST DAY OF COACHES PRACTICE - HIGH SCHOOL ONLY

Tuesday, November 12th: FIRST DAY FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL SKIERS - (Second day for high school skiers)

Thursday, November 14th: Team Night Pioneer Midwest - Any time after practice

Friday, December 20th - 22nd: All Team training trip, Rainbow Resort in Wabun, MN (ALL SKIERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND) More info to come later.

Friday, January 10th - 12th: Birkie Trail Training trip, (Varsity skiers)

Saturday, January 18th: ABC Relays, Mora, MN, (All skiers will race)

MESSAGES FROM THE COACH

I will be using the "REMIND" app for the 2023-2024 ski season for communication with the team. To get text messages text the number "81010" in the message type "@cphsnordic"

You should get a message saying you are receiving messages from Coach Charlie

We will be using "REMIND" to communicate with parents and skiers to let them know when we will be back to Champlin Park High School after practices and meets during the season, and other quick messages.

I will still be using Twitter for simple messages to other non-Nordic people following Champlin Park Nordic.
