Anoka-Hennepin District #11 K-12 STEM Fair
When: Saturday, January 28th, 2023
Where: Champlin Park High School
Who: Grades K-12 can submit a project for the fair. Students may register as an individual, as a group of two or as a group of three max.
What: Students need to prepare a board for display at the fair. Maximum Display Board size: 30" Deep, 48" Wide and 72" High.
How: Students in grades 6-12 will present their projects to a group of judges and fellow students. Students will go around to projects with the judges.
Schedule for the Fair:
7:00- 7:30 am: Judges arrive at the school and go to the cafeteria to find their assigned table.
7:30 - 8 am: Judges are in their groups in the cafeteria, going over the judging instructions and their assigned projects.
7:30 - 8 am : Students in Shift #1 set up their projects in the Field House. Public viewing of all projects
8:00-9:00 am: Shift #1 Project Judging - Only students and judges allowed on the field house floor. Judges AND students go together to each project in their group. Students present their projects once to the group.
9:00 - 9:30 am : Shift #1 students are at their projects and judges can see them individually to ask further questions.
9:30 - 10:00 am : Shift #1 students take down their projects, Shift #2 students set up their projects. Public Viewing of Projects. Judges return to the cafeteria to discuss projects.
10- 11:00 am Shift #2 Shift #2 Project Judging - Only students and judges allowed on the field house floor. Judges AND students go together to each project in their group. Students present their projects once to the group.
11:00 - 11:30 am - Shift #2 students are at their projects and judges can see them individually to ask further questions.
11:30 am - Shift #2 students take down their projects. Judges finish project recommendations.
