Volunteer Services is coordinated by Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement, a Community Education program. Anoka-Hennepin Schools are grateful that each year, over 10,000 dedicated volunteers contribute thousands of hours of their time, energy and talents to support our schools, students and staff.
How to volunteer
Volunteers may contact the school district volunteer services office to be assigned to a school with specific needs, or they may volunteer at a specific school.
All volunteers must complete:
- An online criminal record history release form, and
- An online volunteer application form for each school where they wish to volunteer, or a paper application form for each school.
These forms are located on the individual school websites, under Involvement/Volunteer opportunities
on the right side under Forms.
Both need to be completed each school year. Each elementary, middle and high school has a Volunteer Service Coordinator (VSC) to coordinate volunteer work. View the VSC directory to contact a school of your choice.
Criminal record history release form
As part of the volunteer application process, Anoka-Hennepin Schools must obtain information and permission to conduct background checks on your criminal record history through Trusted Employees. Follow all of the prompts and provide all requested information including signing on the online electronic release. If you have any questions, please contact Trusted Employees at 1-888-389-4023.
