Step 1: Go to the applicant login page
Click the "Apply online" link under Employment to visit the applicant login page.

Step 2: Review open job postings
To review open job postings, click on the "view available jobs" link located on the applicant login page. It is not necessary to create an application or log into your existing application when viewing current job postings.

Step 3: Create an application
To create an application, go to "Apply online" and click on the "Start an application for employment" link located under External Applicants heading. Read the "Welcome, New Applicant" instructions, then click on "Start" to begin entering your application information.
Log back into your existing application
To log back into your existing application, go to "Apply online" and click on the "Log in" link located under External Applicants. From the "Welcome" page, click on "edit" to find your application information.

Step 4: Apply
Apply for jobs by clicking on the Employment Vacancy tab. Vacancy Desired is page 4 on the application.
Important
Be sure to click "Finish and Submit" each time you apply for a job posting.

What happens next?
- When a position becomes vacant, Employee Services will post the position on the Anoka-Hennepin online application system.
- Once a posted position has closed, principals and/or hiring administrators will review submitted online applications. They will select their candidates and conduct interviews.
- Principals/hiring administrators may contact candidates via email or telephone for additional information and/or interview times.

Computer access
What if I don’t have access to a computer? Can I access my application from any computer?
The Anoka-Hennepin Educational Service Center has computers available in the lobby with access to the online application. Public libraries also have computers with internet access. The application is available through the Anoka-Hennepin School District website and is accessible through any internet-enabled computer.I really don’t like to use the computer. Can I fill out a paper application?
Paper applications are not available. To apply for employment with the district, you must use the online application system. The system is very user-friendly and will take you step-by-step through each page. Feel free to call our Help Desk (763-506-1100) during regular business hours for assistance. -
How to apply
I am a current employee, how do I apply for jobs?
Follow the steps listed under "How to apply" for creating an application or logging back into your existing application.
I forgot my password, how do I sign on?
Pease call our help desk at 763-506-1100 during regular business hours for assistance. Please do not create a new application if you do not remember your password.
My email address has changed and I forgot my password, how do I sign on?
You will need to contact our help desk at 763-506-1100 during regular business hours for assistance.
How can I save my application and come back to it later?
Our system allows you to save a partially finished application by clicking on the "Save as Draft" button at the bottom of the application.
What if I need to change or update my application?
Changes and updates are easy to make and can be done at any time. Log into your application, click on "Edit" and update/add/change information as needed.
How do I apply for an open position once my application has been submitted?
Once your application has been submitted online, simply log back into your application, click on the "Edit", click on "Vacancy Desired" under "Navigation", scroll to find desired job posting(s), check the box for the job and follow the prompts. IMPORTANT: Be sure to click on "Finish and Submit" each time you apply for a job posting.
If I want to apply for more than one job, do I have to fill out a new application every time?
Apply for as many jobs as you like with just one application. View, update, and edit your application as many times as you wish. Exit your application and return to finish it at your convenience.
What if I want to apply for teacher jobs and non-teacher jobs?
You can apply for all job types with just one application. -
Job postings
How can I view a list of job openings?
Click the "Job postings" button at the top of this page to see all open jobs.
How often are new jobs posted?
Jobs are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I heard there is a job available but I couldn't find it in the job search.
If you are not able to find a job in the job search, it may be the position has not yet been posted, or has been posted and has already closed, or will not be posted. Applicants will only find current job postings. If the application deadline for the position has passed, the job posting will no longer be available.
I did a job search but did not find the right job. Should I submit my application anyway?
You can submit an online application without applying for a specific job. Once your online application has been created, you can go back into the system at any time to search and apply for jobs. Your application will not be considered unless you apply for specific job postings. Our current process is to post job vacancies as the need to hire arises. You will need to apply online for the specific job posting to be considered for that job.
When do job postings close?
Closing dates vary depending on the type of job. Please refer to the posting for the specific deadline.
Is there any grace time considered if you miss the posting deadline?
No, you must "Finish and Submit" your application, your application must be complete, and you are required to apply for the actual job posting online by the posted deadline.
If I have questions regarding a specific posting, who should I contact?
Please refer to the specific job posting for contact information. If there is no contact information or you have further questions, please call our help desk at 763-506-1100 during regular business hours for assistance. -
Resume
I don't have a resume, can I still apply?
Yes, you may still apply. A resume is not required unless otherwise stated in the job posting.
Can I still send or fax a resume to the district?
All resumes can be uploaded to the designated "Supplemental Materials" page of your online application.
What if I want to submit letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc.
Letters of recommendation, cover letters, and transcripts can be uploaded to the designated "Supplemental Materials" page of your online application. -
Security
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. A combination of system software features and application programs are used to ensure only authorized individuals can gain access to data contained in the system.
Who has access to my personal information?
Designated Employee Services Department staff members will have access to all information contained on applications. Hiring administrators will have viewing rights to applications from individuals who have applied for their job postings.
How long is information retained?
We are required to keep application materials one year from date of submission. An applicant may save each application section as it is completed. Should the applicant decide to stop without finishing the application, all information will be preserved so the applicant can return and complete the application at a later time. Unsubmitted and/or incomplete applicant entries will be retained in the system for approximately one month before being deleted.

2-year short call substitute license
If you have a 4-year degree and are interested in educating the students of Anoka-Hennepin Schools for success, Anoka-Hennepin has expanded their substitute teacher opportunities by accepting the limited 2-year short call substitute license. If you are interested in applying for this license, visit the PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board) website. Proof of your bachelor's degree, background check, and fingerprints are the only requirements.When you receive an email with your license file number, apply for the licensed substitute teacher position on our site. Indicate that you have applied for the license and add the file number you receive under the License section. Indicate "yes" to having a teacher license IF your short-call subsitute license is already being processed.Once your application is reviewed, you will receive an email with employment forms to complete.Pick the days, grade levels, subjects, and locations you want to work at each day! Substitute position descriptions
Child nutrition
- Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include any or all of the following: prepare, cook and serve foods. Baking, main dish, salad, grill, dish room, and cashier; cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, dishes, utensils, equipment, and machines; inventory, storage, and some stocking duties.
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Rate of pay: $12.75/hour. Experience: $13.25/hour
- Experienced substitutes are Anoka-Hennepin retirees; current Anoka-Hennepin employees on non-medical unpaid leaves; former Anoka-Hennepin employees who worked 400 hours in the same category in the previous year as a regular employee, substitute or temporary employee; current part-time Secretary or Para who sub during non-duty time.
Custodian
- Responsibilities may include any or all of the following: keep premises of school in clean and orderly condition. Perform simple repairs to structure, furniture and equipment.
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Rate of pay: $13.75/hour; Experience: $14.25/hour

Teacher
- Minimum qualifications:
- Must have a current Minnesota teaching license.
- We are accepting the Standard Five-Year Short Call Substitute license.
- We are accepting the Limited Two-Year Short Call Substitute license.
- Rate of pay: $150/day - Casual substitute teaching prorated at half days or full days; $160/day for retired Anoka-Hennepin teachers - prorated at half days or full days.
Secretary
- Responsibilities may include any or all of the following: receptionist, switchboard, mailroom, media center, head school secretary, SASI.
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Rate of pay: $13.75/hour; experienced: $14.25/hour **
Special Education Para
- Responsibilities may include any or all of the following: Assists in the instruction of students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or centerbase settings. Although the job duties vary due to the age or level of disability, job duties may include: managing behavior (redirecting, calming or removing a disruptive student from the classroom); monitoring and recording student progress in instructional areas (academics, daily living skills, dressing, grooming, social skills, etc.); managing physical needs (toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, positioning, transporting students in wheelchairs, etc.)
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Rate of pay: $14.75/hour; experienced: $15.25/hour **
Substitute Health Para
- Responsibilities may include any or all of the following: Recordkeeping; first aid; vision and hearing screening; assisting with health service reports; giving medications; working with special needs students in a fast-paced setting.
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have completed or be currently enrolled in an eight-hour basic life support course (CPR), eight-hour first aid course, school health paraprofessional course or equivalent. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Rate of pay: $18.75/hour; experienced: $19.25/hour **
Substitute Elementary and Secondary Para
- Responsibilities may include any or all of the following: Assist teachers with various instructional tasks, including lunchroom and playground supervision, prep-time, media center, classroom assistance, computer lab and other duties as assigned.
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Rate of pay: $14.00/hour; experienced: $14.50/hour **
Substitute English as a Second Language Para
- Responsibilities: Assist teachers in English as a Second Language program by reinforcing vocabulary and helping students learn to read.

Substitute ECFE/Preschool Assistant
- ECFE assistant responsibilities: Assist in daily and weekly classroom set-up; Assist in the design and implementation of activities for children.
- School Readiness assistant responsibilities: Assist in conducting group and individual activities for children ages three to five.
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.

Substitute Preschool Instructor
- Responsibilities: Prepare for and conduct School Readiness classes for children ages three to five.
- Minimum qualifications: BA degree in Early Childhood or closely related field. Teaching license in early childhood, kindergarten or elementary education preferred. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Rate of pay: $18.44/hour.
Substitute ECFE Teacher
- Responsibilities: Prepare for and conduct early childhood classes for children ages birth to five years and their parents.
- Minimum qualifications: Minnesota teaching license in Early Childhood Education and BA degree. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
