Supt. Law accepts Superintendent position with Minnetonka Public Schools

David Law(04/22/2022) Anoka-Hennepin superintendent of schools David Law has been selected to lead the Minnetonka Public School District beginning on July 1, 2022. The Minnetonka School Board selected Law as their preferred candidate at an April 21 meeting following an extensive search and recruitment process. The announcement is subject to contract negotiations and approval.   

Law served eight years as Anoka-Hennepin superintendent, emerging as a state and national leader in education as well as a home-grown catalyst for success in Anoka-Hennepin. A graduate of Coon Rapids High School, Supt. Law served as a classroom teacher and middle school assistant principal in the district along with his leadership role as superintendent during his 24 years of service to the district. He was named Minnesota’s Superintendent of the Year in 2020, served as president of the Minnesota Association of School Administrators, and is currently serving on the executive committee of the America Association of School Administrators. 

Following the announcement, Superintendent Law provided a letter of appreciation to the Anoka-Hennepin School Board and Board Chair Marci Anderson issued a statement.

The Anoka-Hennepin School Board will determine a pathway forward and timeline for recruiting for the superintendent position, a process that could include the appointment of an interim superintendent for the district.
