2026 Coon Rapids High School Graduation Information:
Date: Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: TBD (Doors open at 1 hour before the ceremony)
Location: 3M Mariucci Arena, 1901 4th St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455
Students arrive before 8:30 am at the Receiving Area - 1912 5th Street S.E.
*Open seating. No tickets are needed for the ceremony.
The ceremony should last approximately 90 minutes.
Accessible seating at 3M Arena at Mariucci is available in Sections 2, 3, 8, 11, 18, 24 (top and bottom), and 13 (bottom row only). Additionally, wheelchair seating and seating in the top row (that doesn't require stairs) are available at the top of every section, but this is not reservable.
ASL accommodation will be in Section 20 of the arena.

Lifetouch is excited to offer Senior Photo Day on August 1st! Capture this unforgettable milestone with a professional senior portrait session.

Spaces are limited, so act fast and make your senior year picture perfect! These are 5-minute time slots. Please arrive at your appointment time 10 minutes early.
If you miss Senior Photos on August 1st, there will be another option for seniors to take their pictures on Friday, September 19, from 9 am - 1:15 pm.
All seniors need to have their senior portrait taken for the yearbook, even if they do not plan to purchase photos.

This critical financial form should now be available (after a bit of a delay this year). Get to work on filling this out and pay careful attention to the deadlines listed for each of your schools. Without submitting this form, you won’t be considered for need-based aid. There is a lot of information to be shared, take a deep breath and make sure you are well prepared/informed before you start the FAFSA application. FAFSA will help you be able to afford college whether it is a community college, technical college or 4 year college.

2. It is very important for Seniors to take a look at all of these links. It is a lot of information but important to read through it BEFORE they start the FAFSA application. They will need help from their parents/guardians due to information coming from the 2022 tax forms.
Here is some information about the “Soft Launch” of the new form. There may be some periodic pauses that occur for site maintenance and updates.

Graduation Speaker Auditions: Graduation speaker auditions will take place this coming spring. Students should watch for an email and school announcements regarding the speaker audition details and date.
Seniors Last Day: The last day for seniors is Friday, May 31, 2024. Please check back at a later date regarding details of that day.

Minnesota Goes to College
We are having college application help sessions for our Seniors during Cardinal Time in the month of October. October is College Knowledge Month and most MN colleges waive their application fees throughout the ENTIRE month of October (except for UMTC and UMD). College and Career Center Information
Coon Rapids High School is pleased to announce that we are introducing a new system Coon Rapids High School Career Center webpage called Scoir to help you navigate careers, college selection and application process.
Seniors were sent an email invitation on Sunday, September 10th at 6:30pm from Scoir. Please complete the registration steps found in the email as soon as possible. Once you are registered in Scoir, you will be able to receive emails from me on upcoming events, scholarships, etc as well as being able to send their transcripts and letter of recommendations.
Navigating through the college application process can be confusing and you may find the information helpful on the Coon Rapids High School Career Center webpage valuable. Students can also stop-in to the College and Career Center or schedule an appointment to get support. After you have joined, please follow colleges that might interest you or explore the career information within the program. Seniors will get guidance and more direction throughout the school year.
We are excited to introduce this new career and college platform to you, we feel confident that you will find Scoir helpful and easy to use.
