Jackson Middle School A Specialty School for Math and Science

Hello and welcome to my classroom website!

I teach two sections for general Physical Science and three sections of Advanced Physical Science at JMS.  I am originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan (GO BLUE), but moved to Minnesota recently from Clearwater, Florida.  I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Biology and Chemistry.  I have been teaching for 16 years and have taught: Physical Science (6th, 8th, and 9th grades), Earth/Space Science (8th grade), Life Science (7th grade). I have also taught science online (for Florida Virtual School), worked as a Lead Teacher, as well as a TV Production teacher over the years.

I am married, have two children, and I have four furry dog babies (yes, that's four dogs).  I love to run, shop, read mystery novels, and I LOVE movies!!!   

I believe that science should be fun and that our classroom activities/labs should show you how science connects to your life.
