    Welcome to Jackson Middle School Orchestra!!

     

    Playing a musical instrument is great for your brain!  Studies upon studies agree that playing a musical instrument makes connections between math, reading and emotions which make you learn faster and become a problem solver.  Not only that, but music is fun!  We have orchestra students from all grade: 6, 7 and 8 at Jackson Middle School.  I have been teaching orchestra for over 20 years, and my main instrument is the violin, but I can play all of them: violin, viola, cello and bass.  I love teaching orchestra students how to play and become great musicians.  With a little work and a great attitude we can make it happen together!

    Below is the concert schedule for all grades.  Rehearsal schedules will be sent home with students or emailed at least 2 weeks prior to the concert.  Concert attire for 6th and 8th graders= Black pants/long skirt and White shirt.  Concert attire for 7th graders= Black pants/long skirt and Blue shirt.

    December 17, 2019                Winter Concert – 7:00 at JMS (rehearsal on December 10, 3:15-4:30)
