• Welcome!

I am so excited to be at Jackson!  This is my 21st year teaching and my 18th year here at Jackson.  Time sure flies!

I grew up outside of Chicago, Illinois in a suburb called Rolling Meadows.  I attended Winona State University and graduated in 1996 with a double major in elementary and special education. I graduated from St. Mary's University with my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning in May 2002.
I spent three years teaching elementary school in a small town in southeastern Minnesota.  I have been part of the special education department at Jackson since the fall of 1999.  I became the Special Education Department Lead in 2010.   I returned to the classroom in Fall 2016 and am really loving my time with students again!
I enjoy spending time with my family.  I married my husband, Keith in 2003.  We now have 2 sons, Jack and Henry.   We enjoy frequent visits back "home" to Illinois to see my family.  GO BEARS!
I can often be found drinking coffee each morning.  I enjoy digital scrapbooking, being a mommy, geocaching with my kids, and traveling.   I am involved in our church, and I love to read!
Thank you for supporting your student's education! I am excited to work with your child and watch their growth. Together we can help your child achieve success!
