Course Details:

Welcome to 7^th Grade Science! This is going to be an exciting and interesting class! Life science is the study of living things in the world around us. This class will take a hands-on and minds-on approach. You will be actively learning and are expected to work hard. We will be doing many lab experiments and activities. Topics of focus include the nature of science, diversity of life, cells, genetics, evolution, body systems, and ecology.

Teacher Background:

I graduated with a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Education from the University of Minnesota. I enjoy hiking, biking, running, canoeing, and love Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson shows, especially Cosmos. Jackson Middle School is a top notch school and I am thrilled to be a member of this great staff and teaching these wonderful kids. I look forward to a great year!
