    Welcome to English Language Arts
     

       Hello!  My name is Ms. Mead and I've had the honor of teaching at JMS for the last 15 years.  I am glad to be part of a math and science specialty school that prides itself on inquiry.  I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's degree in education, both from the University of Minnesota.  I grew up in the Anoka-Hennepin school district and graduated from Blaine High School.

       Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our children, and our grandchildren. I also love to read (of course), and I belong to a fabulous book club that meets every month.  My husband and I ride motorcycles and spend time fishing and doing anything outdoors during the summer.  In the winter, we hibernate!

     

    I am excited about this school year, and I look forward to getting to know my students and their families.
