Mrs. Garrett's Biography 

  Previous to JMS, I taught in Hopkins, Eden Prairie, and in Singapore. Before I became a teacher, I worked in cancer and genetic research for 5 years at the University of MN. I have also worked in a corn cytogenetics lab, in catering, as a telemarketer, in a bagel store, and as an assistant in a hair salon.  Fun fact about Mrs. Garrett #13 - I have had multiple careers!

 

I have a Master of Science in science education and a Bachelors of science in genetics, cell biology and developmental biology.  Fun fact about Mrs. Garrett #205- I also have a minor in German!

 

I am married and have three fabulous and crazy boys.  Fun fact about Mrs. Garrett #1- My boys are my life!

 

I love to travel and try food from different countries around the world.  I love many different types of music, dancing, and singing.  Fun fact about Mrs. Garrett #66 - Mrs. Garrett has been tap dancing since she was 3!  I like to paint and do ceramics in my off time.  Fun fact about Mrs. Garrett #105 - Mrs. Garrett owns a potter's wheel.  For exercise, I play on a team in the Twin Cities ultimate frisbee league.
