WELCOME to 6th Grade!!
My name is Tamara Jenkins. I am teaching 6th grade ELA here at Jackson Middle School. This is my second year hear at Jackson and in the Anoka Hennepin School District. I am excited to begin my 14th year in teaching as a Jaguar. I previously taught 6th grade for 10 years and 4th grade for 2 years in other districts. Teaching is my passion. Helping scholars realize their potential and reach for their dreams puts a smile on my face!
A little background information about me:
I grew up in Minneapolis. I attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities graduating with both my Undergraduate Degree and Masters Degree. (Go Gophers!) I am married to my wonderful and supportive husband Damon. We have two awesome children (both attending Anoka Hennepin School District). Dejah is a junior and Damon is a second grader.
