‘School within a school’ program for gifted and talented elementary students to open next fall at Eisenhower
(01/18/19) A new “school within a school” program for Anoka-Hennepin’s exceptionally gifted learners in grades three through five will open next fall at Eisenhower Elementary School in Coon Rapids.

Former teacher, director of secondary curriculum, instruction and assessment Peggy Martin has passed away
Peggy Martin, who spent time as the district’s director of secondary curriculum, instruction and assessment, passed away Nov. 7 after battling cancer. She was 69 years old.
Karen Krantz, a retired elementary school teacher who spent time at Mississippi, Wilson and Lincoln elementary schools, passed away Aug. 5.
(01/18/19) The deadline for grant applications for 2019-20 funding requests to the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) is March 29, 2019.

(12/06/18) The Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) recently launched a new website, ahef.us. When the district moved to a new website platform in 2014, the AHEF was fortunate to benefit from the new site, which was designed to allow parents, students and community members a more user friendly website.
