Employee evaluations serve an important role in ensuring that employees and the programs they work in are successful in supporting Anoka-Hennepin’s mission to effectively educate
each of our students for success. Effective performance evaluations provide many benefits to our school system, including:- Supporting the alignment of employee professional practice with
Anoka-Hennepin’s established standards of professional practice - Ensuring that employees are placed in positions that best align with their skill sets
and support successful employment - Helping leaders identify appropriate training and professional development
needs for employees - Promoting employee efficacy and the pursuit of professional growth
The purpose of employee evaluations is to calibrate employee performance in relation to an established standard of performance, so that employees have the opportunity to celebrate success, establish potential areas for future development, and as needed, gain a clear understanding of performance expectations moving forward.
Successful evaluations occur when supervisors provide data-driven evaluations based on established standards of performance. To support accurate calibration, the evaluator utilizes a wide sampling of qualitative and quantitative data that is collected by both the supervisor and the employee to determine an accurate assessment in relation to the established standard.
