Labor relations and benefits
The Labor Relations and Benefits department negotiates and administers collective bargaining agreements, including compensation and benefits, for 13 bargaining units and four policy groups representing approximately 8,000 employees at Anoka-Hennepin.
Additionally, the department is responsible for setting compensation and benefit policies, overseeing employee benefits such as health and hospitalization, dental, group term life, long-term disability, health and dependent care spending accounts, supplemental term life, workers' compensation, 403(b) plans, and sick leave benefits. It also processes employee grievances and completes various required reports, including pay equity, seniority lists, leave accrual, retirement benefits, workers' compensation, and STAR.
The department’s primary role is to foster positive labor relations and manage employee data systems.

Manage your 403(b) retirement account
You are welcome to make changes to your 403(b) contribution amounts at any time during the year. You do not have to wait for an open enrollment period.
To help keep your retirement Plan in compliance with all of the new regulations, Anoka-Hennepin uses planwithease.com to administer its plan. Plan participants have 24 hour-365 day access to a new secure website: planwithease.com. This secure website provides the IRS required employer approval of distribution and transfer requests from your 403(b) accounts such as: loans, hardships, contract exchanges, withdrawals and more. Planwithease.com is able to provide immediate approval letters for transactions involving the following providers:

Login to planwithease.com
To log into the system, go to: planwithease.com. You will need to use the password from planwithease that was sent out in November 2020. If you do not have that information, please call the customer service at 1-855-464-6928. Resource: planwithease Participant User Guide.
Once you have printed your approval letter from the planwithease website, attach it to your transaction paperwork from your provider for submission.

457 Investment options
Minnesota Defined Contribution Plan (MNDCP) is the district's designated provider for a 457(b) governmental deferred compensation plan. This plan allows eligible employees to supplement any existing retirement or pension plans without reducing future pension or social security benefits. Contributions are made through pre-tax payroll deduction and are not eligible for district match.
For employee participation in Minnesota Deferred Compensation 457 plan, go to www.mndcplan.com or call 651-296-2761.Once paperwork and an account have been completed with MNDCP, they will forward the reduction agreement to the payroll department where payroll deductions can be set up.
