My name is Jon Young. I work in the Special Education case manager and in the Math Department as a Cooperating Teacher primarily in Algebra. I graduated from CRHS in 1994 and then pursued multiple degrees after high school. I graduated from Hamline University in 1998 with a B.A. degree in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education. From there I received a M.S. in Kinesiology/Sports Psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2001. In order to become licensed in Special Education I completed a licensure program through Bethel College in 2003.
I have been married for 10 years to Amber and we have two boys, Jaxon (8) and Konnor (6). Both boys go to Adams Elementary school. My wife teaches 4th grade in the Columbia Heights school district at Highland Elementary. We enjoy camping, going to our kids' sporting events, and biking.
I have coached football at CRHS for over 10 years as well as working with the basketball programs and strength training programs. I love teaching and coaching in the community in which I live.
