(03/03/2021) Virginia Leadens, a former secretary for Anoka-Hennepin, has passed away. She was 87 years old.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Carl, a former Anoka-Hennepin teacher and coach, just 25 days earlier.

A funeral service with mass will be held for Virgina and Carl at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Anoka on Monday, March 8 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

She was also active in the Anoka American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents John and Susan Zirngible and brother Edward. She is survived by her children Michael (Peg) Leadens, Marty (Robin) Leadens, Mark (Penny) Leadens and Jolene (Mike) Rademacher; grandchildren Kelsey, Morgan, Megan, Ryan, Anna, Alexandra, Briggs, Damon, and Danika; and many great grandchildren.
