Phil Knutson, former longtime educator in Anoka-Hennepin, has passed away
(10/14/2022) Phil Knutson, a former longtime educator in Anoka-Hennepin, has passed away. He was 86 years old.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 at Grace Lutheran Church in Andover with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
Phil spent many years in Anoka-Hennepin's alternative learning center.
He is survived by his wife Florence, children Karen Plemel (Tom Bergeren) and Doug Knutson (Pam), grandchildren: Kendra Aakre (Heath), Robert Plemel (Katie), Gunnar Knutson, Sophie Knutson, and two great-grandchildren: Raena and Murphy Philip Plemel. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carlotta.
