Daily Announcements, Wednesday, February 12, Day 1
Today’s Black History quote is from Dr. Mae Jemison. She was the first African American female astronaut to travel into space, serving as a mission specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavor in 1992. She said, “Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations.”
Get ready to step, spin, and shine with the Jackson Middle School Dance Team! It's I Love to Read month, and we are celebrating in the JMS Library. Submit a design for the bookmark contest, and your bookmark could be one of the ones students pick up at the Circ Desk! Recommend a book to others. Experience "Pick Up Lines" - choosing a book without looking at the cover, just by reading the first lines. Join the activities in the Library before school, with your ELA class, or on a SmartPass.
Tomorrow's spirit week theme is "Dress Like Your Favorite Book Character Day.” We can’t wait to see all of your creativity!
JMS News will meet today, after school in the library until 4:30. Please have a prearranged ride home at that time.
