Former special education teacher, Jamie Vigness, has passed away
(09/18/19) Jamie Vigness, who spent seven years as a special education teacher and paraeducator at a number of Anoka-Hennepin schools, has passed away unexpectedly. She was 39 years old.
A visitation for Jamie was held last week, but her brother, Jeff, wanted staff in Anoka-Hennepin to know about her passing.
Jamie was most recently a special education teacher at Jackson Middle School, a role she had until she left the district in 2017. She began her career in Anoka-Hennepin in 2010 as a special education para with the Compass Program at Bell Center, a role she had for three years. In between she was a special education teacher at Anoka High School, and an Adventures Plus site leader at the Educational Service Center. Over the years she also taught summer school at Blaine High School, and was a substitute at Northdale Middle School.
