Reminder: Multi-factor Authentication coming soon for A-H Connect
As part of the district’s ongoing efforts to enhance and improve security, implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) for accessing A-HConnect will begin this spring.
Why it matters: MFA can prevent unauthorized access to student data, and each staff member’s personal and identifiable information - such as social security numbers, bank information and more.
Prepare now: District staff can help with implementation.
-
It’s recommended that staff members change their password between now and March 31 to avoid having to change it twice this winter or spring. Be alert to your building tech support for password change guidance.
-
Stay alert to future articles in the staff e-newsletter, In the Know, for more guidance on the upcoming change. Next week, technology staff will begin sharing step-by-step instructions with staff members by site in alignment with the phased implementation timeline.
When it’s happening: The Technology department will roll MFA for A-HConnect out to sites in three phases, beginning as early as March 31 and concluding May 9. Planning timelines will be communicated by building technology contacts.
