PRINCIPAL MESSAGE 1-4-19

Hello Coon Rapids High School families,

This is Annette Ziegler with upcoming reminders for your students:

Registration - Registration for the 2019-20 school year is now open!  Students will receive registration materials and instructions during Cardinal Core on January 8 and have until January 15 to complete registration worksheets and register online.  Detailed planning presentations and materials are also available through the "Registration Information" section at the bottom of the Coon Rapids High School main web page.  Please make registration planning a priority this week!

Please mark your calendars for the following events this month:

No School - There is no school on Monday, January 21 in honor of Martin Luther King’s birthday.

Conferences – Trimester 2 conferences are on Wednesday, January 23  from 2:50 pm – 8:00 pm in the classrooms.

MORP Dance– The MORP Dance is on Friday, February 1 at the Coon Rapids Civic Center from 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm. All students are to be cleared of all fines and have all redemption time made up before purchasing their ticket.  Also, if they plan to take a guest from another school, they need to have the guest form filled out before purchasing their ticket.  Students can get the guest forms in the activities office. Students need to have a picture ID when entering and we do not sell tickets at the door.

Above and Beyond Award - Do you know an Anoka-Hennepin staff member who goes above and beyond normal job expectations to ensure that students receive a high-quality education in a safe and nurturing environment? Maybe that person is a teacher or a custodian or bus driver? Maybe a school counselor or principal? Maybe someone working in the cafeteria, or a nurse or a secretary?

If you know someone who does amazing work for children, you’re strongly encouraged to nominate them for an Above & Beyond Award. Nominations are being accepted for worthy candidates through February 1, 2019.

Thanks for sharing your students with us! It is truly an honor to be with your students every day!

Go CARDINALS!
