I grew up in Michigan and I attended Albion College where I majored in math and English and earned my teaching certificate.  My first year teaching was on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota where I taught high school math.  When I moved to Minnesota, I taught for three years in Preston before coming to Champlin.  I started my teaching career in Anoka-Hennepin at Coon Rapids Middle School.  The next year, I moved to JMS where I have been ever since.  I received my master's degree in education from St. Mary's University in 2000.

Welcome to Mrs. Eerdmans class!  I'm excited to you have in my class. I have been teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin district for 25 plus years.  Most recently, I have been teaching Advanced Math.  This year, I will be teaching Advanced Math and Honors Intermediate Algebra.

I met my husband, Neil, when we were both in college working at the Estes Park, CO YMCA camp.  He is also a teacher in the district, teaching 3rd grade at Oxbow Elementary. We have 2 children who both attended JMS - my son is currently at Champlin Park High School and my daughter is attending Gustuvas Aldophus College.   As a family, we enjoy biking, camping and hiking.  I also like to scrapbook and read.
