New enrollments

  • Please use the school finder tool (2023-24 school year) to learn the school your student is assigned to attend, based on your home address.

    Current, 2023-24 school year

New, immediate student enrollments for the current, 2023-24 school year, can be completed through the online registration process. Regardless if you've had students enrolled in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, please use the Getting Started link below. After filling out the form, you'll receive email notification of your parent/guardian account that you'll then use to login and complete your enrollment.

    Upcoming, 2024-25 school year

All families new to the Anoka-Hennepin School District for the 2024-25 school year may begin enrolling students in January 2024. (This includes new kindergarten families and families new to the Anoka-Hennepin school district attendance boundaries.)

Families may use the 2023-24 school finder tool to determine school assignments for the upcoming school year.

  • GETTING STARTED: I'd like to enroll a student who is not currently attending an Anoka-Hennepin school
  • EXISTING PARENT/GUARDIAN with a student(s) enrolled in Anoka-Hennepin Schools

In-district transfers and open enrollments

  • If you wish to have your student(s) attend a school other than the one they're assigned for 2024-25, please complete either an In-district transfer or Open enrollment form (see below). You must submit your application between Dec. 1, 2023 and Jan. 15, 2024 for priority consideration

Any application received after January 15 will be considered late and will go into a second or third round lottery. April 1 is the deadline for an application to be considered in the second round lottery, and June 1 is the deadline for the third and final round lottery. Typically, in-district transfers for the 2024-25 school year will not be approved after the June 1 deadline.

Please refer to the full enrollment options page for additional info and specialty schools with a different application process and timeline. Please return completed applications by mail (c/o ACS, 2727 N Ferry St., Anoka, MN 55303), email (enrollmentoptions@ahschools.us), or fax 763-506-1213.

Public school attendance in Minnesota is based on the home address of the enrolling parent/guardian:

  • OPEN ENROLLMENT: My home address is outside the Anoka-Hennepin attendance boundary and I wish my student(s) to attend a specific school.
