Hello! Welcome to my therapy room :) I am excited to be the Speech Language Pathologist at Coon Rapids High School this year! This is my first year teaching in the Anoka Hennepin School District. I am a graduate of the University of South Dakota and have a teaching degree as well as a masters degree in speech language pathology. I am a mom to my 5 fascinating- never-a-dull-moment (!) children: Ashley (24), James (21), Sophia (17), Joshua (15), and Christopher (12). They are the inspiration behind my desire to go back to grad school as a mom. Three of them have had extreme challenges and needs in speech and language, and this has given me a unique perspective and understanding. It has given me a heart for those who may be struggling. I find this really helps me as a therapist to be insightful and to reach the students I teach.
Your student is the reason I am here; I find each of them to be a wonderful and unique gift. My passion is getting to know each student and then assist him/her in developing communication skills and reaching his/her potential. Together we can help your student succeed!
