My name is Mrs. Opat. I have been teaching at Coon Rapids Middle School for 22 years. I have been teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin School District for 26 years. I have taught physical education at all levels, from pre-school to seniors. I enjoy all of the levels of a child's education however, I feel at home with the middle level students. I also coach the physically impaired adapted athletic teams for our school district. I am the head coach for soccer and floor hockey. I am the assistant coach for the bowling team. I enjoy these after school activities with these very special athletes.
I am married and have two children. We all enjoy outdoor activities, golfing, fishing, soccer and we especially enjoy ATV'ing at our cabin in southeastern Minnesota.
