Coon Rapids Middle School

 

 

Hello!  My name is Melissa Johnson and this will be my 18th year teaching science at Coon Rapids Middle School.  I received my Bachelor's at St. Cloud State and my Master's through Hamline University. 

I am married and have 4 children, Alyssa, Kailey, Kody and Easton.  I enjoy spending time with my family at our cabin in Sauk Centre, exercising and my favorite food is chocolate sprinkled donuts! 

I am looking forward to partnering with you and your child this year to ensure them a successful and fun experience in science!

 

 

Below is a break down of science 7 grading:

Assessments - 70%
Classwork – 20%
Common Summative Assessment – 10%

 Assessments: this category would consist of graded quizzes and tests. These are taken individually and taken during the school day.

 Classwork: this would consist of a variety of practice items, such as: labs, homework and projects.

 Common Summative Assessment (CSA): this category includes one district final test per trimester.
