Meet Mrs. Gustafson
Welcome to English Language Arts class! During ELA we work on building our reading, writing, and communication skills. I have been teaching ELA in the Anoka-Hennepin school district since 2005. As a graduate of Anoka-Hennepin, I take pride in what our schools have to offer. Throughout my years here I have met many remarkable teachers who have shaped and influenced my life, inspiring me to do the same for my own students. After graduating from Blaine High School, I earned my bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in elementary education from Hamline University in St. Paul. I completed my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University of Portland, Oregon. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons who also attend school in the Anoka-Hennepin School District. During the summer months, I combine my passion for teaching and gardening by working with the Anoka County Master Gardening Program. The remainder of my time is devoted to cuddling our pet guinea pigs, reading on the patio, and working in my garden. I look forward to working with you this year!
